I love this! I really began to learn this in 2014 when I became sick enough to end up on bed rest for a month and a half. But it applies to every area of my life!
Recognizing my weakness and relying on His strength is the way to go. It:
- is more restful (less striving)
- increases my understanding of the Gospel and who Jesus is, and
- gives Him the glory!
I’m reminding myself of this today as I tackle a task at work that’s way, way beyond me. (Pray for me?)
“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
